Terrified of mmc

Im 10 weeks with first pregnancy.  A girl i know went to her first scan and there was no heart beat,  now i am terrified of the same thing happening to me and i cant get it out my head and i know it isnt healthy for us both and everything could be fine.  Ive had to book a private scan for this sunday to check everythings ok but just feel convinced everythings not ok i wish i didnt.  I want to get excited again.  I had lots of bad symptoms but they seem to be subsidding even though its probably because im heading towards the 2nd trimester but not sure cos you can stil get hormones and symptoms when have a mmc.

It is completely natural to be scared. My husband and I miscarried last year and found out the same way your friend did. I will never forget that day or wish it on someone else. We are now 29 weeks with a healthy girl :-). The important thing to remember is to prepare yourself.  You will most likely have a fabulous appointment and get to hear that glorious heartbeat. But I do think some fear is good. The reality is things can and do go wrong. But that doesn't mean they will either. I feel like pregnancy is the 1st step in parenting- being aware of what can happen, knowing you truly can't control every situation, but actively deciding to embrace and enjoy every moment you can. Pregnancy and parenting present challenges- just do your best, that's all you can do. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Hope all goes well for you! And if worst case scenario happens just never give up, on yourself or that baby you want so badly. Take care!

Same situation with me and I feel just like you! Ugh, trying to keep it together, but I guess it's more normal than I thought.

I've had two losses. I went in for my 10 week scan yesterday. Even though I was feeling my little girl move, I was still terrified they were going to tell me we lost her, too.
I think it's normal to be afraid. Just don't let it over take you.

I know everyone says don't stress but while I'm pregnant it's all i can seem to do lol. I'm sure everything will be fine.I've had a miscarriage before and now I'm pregnant again so I'm stressing all the time, but in the end just try to relax and enjoy it.
