I wouldn't use it but i have no reason to tell you why. Try hot for ten then nothing for ten then ice for ten and repeat if needed. Its kind of like icy hot lol but i do that for my lower back.

Ice hot is bad. Don't use it because it is absorbed by your skin and goes into your blood stream. Use a tube sock with uncooked white rice in it. Tie the end and heat it for 20 seconds. I either massaged my back with it or layer on it and it would help. Also another thing would be a back massager that has a low setting.
