job searching while pregnant

So I've been looking for a job since I've been about 16 weeks and I'm now 32 weeks. I've gone to 6 interviews with different companies and the interviews would go perfectly, until they notice my stomach. I don't really want to work but I feel like I have no choice since my husband and I are gong through a divorce and I'm going to be raising my daughter by myself. Anyone else having trouble finding work? I understand they don't want to hire me because I'll just go on maternity leave after, its just exhausting

I wore the biggest sresst shirt I have and nobody could tell I'm pregnant from sitting in front of me but from the side, its extremely noticeable. All the interviewers couldn't tell until I got up and walked away, most of them starred blankly at my belly lol

I agree it is more difficult in most cases.  When a non pregnant woman comes in for a job with no constraints or special considerations and a pregnant woman comes in with circumstances that cost an employer money, they are going to hire the non pregnant person.  That is just reality.  And it is hard.  I would take this time to perhaps take a class that will help you find work right away when your baby is 6 weeks or so ---  then you will be able to get a job easier.  good luck hon

Oh, and yes, definitely sorry about the divorce.  Rough timing for that!

That's not true why would you say that nobody will hire pregnant women? Alot of pregnant women can find employment and have a job.

Yes, i am and it *****. Unfortunately, no one will hire pregnant women. Reason being, is because we'd be there for a few months then will have to leave to give birth. I was told that you'd have to be working a workplace for atleast a year before you qualify for maternity leave! It's bullsh*it but it's how life is. I'm sorry to hear about your divorce, i hope you'll be ok. You can do it, be strong!!
