And sorry I didn't answer earlier, little man had some issues & had to be readmitted to the hospital. Getting on the app wasn't a big priority, ya know? Hope everyone's pregnancies & deliveries go smoothly.
We already have a little girl...she turns 3 on Sat.
august529, while it's true that the more times your uterus is cut open, the higher the risk of uterine rupture, my nurses told me that in general, the more children you have, the more after birth pain you have. When they explained it, I pictured a balloon. The first time it's blown up, it's tight & has good resistance. But when the air is let out, it does not return to the way it was. The more times a balloon is filled with air, the rubber stretches & weakens. The uterus is kind of like that, because it will never be like it was premotherhood & the more babies we have, the harder it has to contract to get back to the size it should be. As the nurses explained this, I thought, "Poor Michelle Duggar!!!"
As far as my cs, it wasn't any different than the last one. Although this time I did get the gas pain in my shoulder which I don't recall having previously. At times, that was far worse than the abdominal pain. I still had nausea & vomiting & wasn't able to eat until 12 hours post surgery. It was the best turkey sandwich I've ever had! :)
congratzzzz!!!!! now its time to have a baby girl:)
How was your 3rd cs? This will be my third also and I am a little concerned. Its been 8 years since my last child, so I figured ive had time to heal up, but still very nervous as they say risks are higher the more cs u have.
