I am wrong for telling people (mostly family) I really dont care about their lectures because at the end of the day they are not paying my rent or providing for me and my child and during good times I dont see them but when they know there's some struggle somewhere they wanna come lecture me its not like they are giving me advice like thats supposed to help. I personally dont think I am but a couple of friends think i am wrong. What do yall think?

Omg I am going through the same thing because im the youngest sibling. Honestly if their not providing anything for your child why should they be allowed to continue giving lectures. I understand from age wise but we also have to learn on our own as well.

Defo not wrong. I get the same of everyone nd my answer to them is its nothing to do with them if I wanted there opinions id ask for it until then keep out.  It might sound rude but its better then stressing yourself out nd getting angry over it

I have the same problem and when I lived on my own they still run their mouth. Now I am living with my step mom and dad and not making as much due to husband being the only one working they talk down to me even more. I wouldn't worry about it honestly. Just live your life :)

I don't think your wrong at all my whole family is like that if something bad happens in my life or if I have an emergency that sets me back financially they always wanna run their mouth about how its my fault and I should grow up and be more prepared.  mind you I've been on my own since I was 17 and I have never asked them for any help. some ppl just wanna stay on their high horse and act like nothing happens in their life

I don't think you are wrong. I have that with some of my family too. Honestly they are in the wrong for not seeing when u are doing good. Everyone goes threw a rough patch here n there. Your family is supposed to support you not make it harder.
