Listen to your body. If you feel faint after lifting decrease the weight you are lifting.
I'm a school photographer, and I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and I am still doing my job without limitations. I asked my doctor about lifting because I do it daily. I lift up to 50/60 lbs and push up to 300 lbs. He told me since I was already used to doing so, I could continue unless I started spotting or I felt uncomfortable doing so. I just listened to my body and didn't push it. I asked for help when I needed it. But ask your doc as everyone and every pregnancy is different. Remember nurses work pregnant and lift patients, so its not completely true about heavy lifting, just probably not the most recommend thing. I hope that helps.
Thanks ladies it does help cuz i havent really been able to get a real answer from anyone and i go to see my dr tomorrow
That's good to know lucky yea i have twins on the way so i need to keep my arms in shape to balance both of them lol.
Sorry stupid phone but i was saying that it depends differently on the pregnancy. Some women are put on bed rest and are told not to lift more than 15pounds but usually its ok to pick things up as long its not putting to much strain on you. Im the kind of person to do heavy lifting like 50pounds or more and im just being careful to make sure everything goes smoothly. So the heaviest thing i lifted so far in my pregnancy is probably a pack of water bottles like 20 pounds or so.
I asked my doc bc everyone kept tell me the same thing. She said in the first trimester they don't really have a limit (but not to go to the extreme with that) and one you hit your 2nd trimester you shouldn't lift more than 25lb. Hope this helps ;)
I would ask your doctor it depends differeny
