Make new friends hun who love u no matter what.
My best friend is more excited than I am. She even asked the sex of my baby to shop for baby's clothes. If she isn't happy and excited with this miracle happening to you then she isn't worth it. Sad but true! She even asked what I want as a gift and I'm just in my 9th week.
I would try not to take it very personally. You two are at very different stages of your life. Before I had kids, my friends who were moms were people I saw occasionally. They were into child care, baby stuff, home making, etc. Then when I started having kids, I saw other moms all the time and didn't see my non mom friends as much and only occasionally because *I* was into child care, baby stuff, home making, etc. and they weren't.
You two currently have less in common. She's hanging out with people that are at the same stage in life as she is. Doesn't mean she doesn't love you--- it's just different now.
You'll meet lots of mommy friends and I'm sure you two will rekindle as long as you don't get too upset over this.
It's a very common pattern. Hang in there and try to not stress over this. BTW, my best friends now are all other mothers with kids the exact age of my kids. I love my other friends too but I don't talk to them daily like I do with my mom friends. :>) good luck
my friend was like that at first, she moved to Indianapolis 2 years ago and we talked on.the phone everyday. I told her I was pregnant and less phone calls and visits to see me. I told her about how I felt she changed and she told me it felt like she was losing her best friend because I couldn't do all the things we used to do. Just talk to her the friendship it get back to where it was It just take some time for them just like us to adjust to us becoming moms. Good luck!
