I took castor oil with my first. I took it in the morning along with having my membranes stripped and my son was born that evening:
Pros: if labor is close, it definitely helps get things going. It gave me the runs, which was actually beneficial because by the time I was pushing, everything was out of my system and didn't poop while pushing.
Cons: labor was VERY intense! It was 3 hrs and 51 mins from the time my water broke until my son was here. You also can't really plan to go anywhere/because well why would you want to have the squirts while out and about or working? Also there is no guarantee that it actually works. Who's to say labor wasn't already going to start with or without it and it just made it more intense?
As in all cases, please consult your doctor before taking anything that may affect you, your pregnancy, or your baby.
Cracker jack ash! I did research and it came back motor oil or lube for bolts ect
It is NOT motor oil. Do your research girl. It's a laxative. I successfully used this with my second and third babies. Your body had to be ready or it will not work. It DOES NOT pass the placenta and there is no research to prove it causes meconium in the baby. Both of my babies came out perfectly healthy and beautiful.
It is a oil that people drink the pros it helps you go into labor the con is it gives you the poops and you might just give birth to baby while you poop and cannot stop so baby dies do to suffocating in your fesies one of my mothers friends did it and killed her baby like that because she could not stop pooping that y I swear not to take I
Its motor oil they say to take two teaspoons with orange juice and drink it. Im kinda chicken cause i hear it can cause alot of dangerous damage to the body but ppl swear by it. Good luck
