need better understanding...

I am 9 weeks pregnant and at the time I am living with a friend and I am not working, back in November I was involved in a car wreck that caused me to lose a lot so as of now I am very confused on what or how to go about receiving housing assistance. My roommate already has 3 kids and I do not want to live here once my child arrives. It's too much for tv around here and its hard to deal sometimes. I'm hoping there is someone out there who can help me understand what I need to do. I've been reading a lot online but I still do no know if Section8 is the same as HUD or do I get a voucher??? I don't know what to do and I have no one to help me!!! please someone give me answers

first of congrats.  If you are not working you can get assistance from the government at least just for yourself.  Once the baby arrives you can put him/her in your case. Not sure what state you are in find out if there is the WIC program they are very helpful. Hope this helps.

Im sure you wont get assistance until after the baby comes. Every state and county is different.  Check with the county you 're in on how to apply for benefits.
