need some advice

My husband is currently deployed and his checks keep getting messed up causing us to fall behind on some bills, but that's not what I need advice about. What I really want to know is would it be rude to set up a go fund me account to get the money (almost $2000) to fly him home for the birth of our child in December? We planned on saving for it with our own money but with not being able to pay for some of the bills all the way when is pay is caught up so much of it is going to have to go to bills. Please no judging, I just want to know what people think.

I don't think setting up a go fund is a bad idea. He should be able to come home for the birth of his child. He fights for our country everyday so, no it's certainly not rude to ask for some help! And as for mags.. I'm sure her husband and herself have already tried to see if they would pay for him to come back. Obviously she wouldn't be going through all this trouble if they paid for his flight back. Don't be so negative, its rude.

Mags242001 your prior military, so I should assume that you are no longer in. There have been change's but if your going to continue to be like that then please stay off my post. I am honestly tired of seeing your negative comments. Now had my husband been deployed to the front line they would pay for his flight home and back, but because (like I stated) this is what is called a rotational deployment. They do not get the same privileges as a normal department.

I have never heard of that. When ur deployed it's either under 2 titles chp 10, can't remember the other but u don't pay for ur flight. Unless u go somewhere else 1st then u want to go somewhere else. Then u have to pay for ur 2nd flight. But 8f he chooses to go where ur at only then it's paid.

I would set up an acct!! Your husband is overseas, fighting for his country and he deserves a bit of help too!! There are a lot of people out there asking for donations they really shouldn't be asking for but in this case I'd say go for it!

Mags242001 not this deployment, we have been told we have to pay for his flight home. Unless it is the flight home with everyone. This is a rotational deployment and does not get all the same privileges as a normal deployment. That is why I asked.

I agree with mags you can red cross that your in labour and they will tell him if he's over seas.
My husband just came back I feared being in your situation with messed up checks and bills I wouldn't be embarrassed to set a gofund account you have to do what you have to do to get by you know.
Best wishes to you

I'm prior military n during my deployment the government pays for our fight back anywhere in the world. Even if during ur R&R if u want to go to a different country to vacation they will pay for the fight there and back.
