GREAT ADVICE HERE
So, I don't have a question, but I do have the best advice a woman can give another woman.
If you don't want to rip - and want delivery to go quick and easy - BUY EVENING PRIMROSE OIL. I am a second time mom, and with my first I ripped a total of 13 inches (literally all the way to my bum); it took 45 minutes to stitch me up. This time, I was told at 38 weeks I had a 20% chance of c-section, because my canal was tight and not opening. Also, my cervix was not thinning out as fast as I was dilating.
With some research I found EPO will thin the cervix, as well as lubricate to prevent ripping. I took two orally in the morning, and inserted two vaginally before bed every night for 4 days. On the 5th day, I went to the hospital. On the 6th day, I gave birth.
Obviously research the benefits of EPO in pregnancy like I did, but I SWEAR by it. Most women start using it the 37th or 38th week to help prepare their cervix, others use it after going post term. I didn't rip AT ALL because of it which shocked my OB, and my delivery was under 6 minutes with only 5 pushes. My daughters head wasn't misshapen at all. Her head was so perfectly shaped the nurses couldn't believe it.
Not only that, but due to having such an easy delivery, I looked great for photos (unlike my first labor and delivery, when I looked like the walking dead). Every single person that saw me afterwards told me I didn't look like I just gave birth. Easy birth = no strain on your overall appearance. Who doesn't want beautiful photos with their newborn?!

I just bought some at GNC. I think it was like $7! I'm 36 weeks and taking one in each morning. Will take more aggressively in a week or two.
