Nope, at least not yet. My 4-year-old son is well aware at this point that helping out around the house is part of his job, like Mama and Daddy have to go to work and cook and clean and everything else. We don't have a chart or a schedule, we do things when they need to be done. So he puts dishes in the dishwasher, puts laundry in the dryer, collects laundry from everyone's rooms into the hamper, puts groceries away, picks up and puts away toys and books, cleans up spills... He's a great little helper with a bit of encouragement and a lot of direction. I'm sure we'll do an allowance eventually, probably in a couple of years. But for now we're instilling the importance of working as as team for the good of the household.
There are a million free printable chore charts available online. I was using an online one for awhile where the kids would log in and click what they did, but that one didn't work for us after awhile. Now we use a paper one that i customized for the girls. They have the opportunity to earn $5 a week, but they have to save $1 and donate $1.
