online baby shower??

So I don't really have any local friends and I'm not very close with my extended family. I'm 27 weeks and still don't have anything for baby bc I just don't have the money right now, and I'd love to have a baby shower but have no one to invite. So I'm just curious if there's such a thing as an online baby shower, or does that seem too much like I'm just fishing for free stuff? Love to hear some opinions on this or if anyone else has had the same problem.

I was even taking birth control pills and I was always pretty careful, but I guess God just decided that this little one was meant to come sooner rather then later. Lol

I'm in the US, North Carolina to be exact. And I'm a full time student and work part time as a waitress so money is pretty tight with all my other bills, plus I also have a 5 year old. I plan to use a good amount of my next student loan check for baby and put the rest in savings. Thank you for the reassurance. I really appreciate it. Luckily I still have the crib from when I had my first but I didn't save anything else bc I wasn't expecting to have any more children anytime soon, but this one was definitely a pleasant surprise none the less and I couldn't be happier about her arrival. :-)

I'm involved with my local pregnancy center and I know they're going to help a lot after I finish my parenting classes with them bc they offer full support after 7 classes, and I have a social worker that hopefully will help me wwith information and resources as well. I'm just gettin more anxious as my due date gets closer and didn't know if I could set something up online. But I would hate for people to think that I'm just trying to get free stuff out of them. Thank you for the advice, I'm definitely going to look into more local places that will help bc I desperately wanna go ahead and start getting more prepared for my little one.

You can get some help from local churches and there are groups who help people in your situation. I'm in a similar spot, and I've recieved a lot of stuff from local groups. Just go online and search for help nearby.
