membrane sweep done today!
38+5 weeks & I had my cervix swept today! Omg it hurt so bad! I'm having the worst cramps right now & had 1 contraction about 30 min ago & it was so painful! Now my back is starting to hurt which I haven't experienced my whole pregnancy! She checked me & I'm still 3cm but now 90% effaced! I REALLY hope this works!! My Dr is very adamant About inducing because the risks of having a c secrion are very high when you induce.. so Im praying & hoping this sweep works! She said if I don't go into labor by sunday, she offered to do another sweep monday! I know there's a 50/50 chance it could work so I'm hopeful!!
Because since I've been having contractions for the last 2 weeks & I'm already dilated this much, my Dr knows I'm ready & she wants to get things going so she did the sweep to help! :)
Why didn't u wait for natural labour?
