vivid , horrifying dreams

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing extremely real and vivid dreams while they are pregnant. Some of them are so horrible, almost traumatizing for me. I am not going to go into detail but all of them seem to include various people trying to physically harm me and my family. They seem so real. I wake up all the time feeling like it actually happened. Does anyone else experience this? Is there a way to make it better?

Thanks everyone I feel so much better knowing that I am not the only one waking up screaming. :)

I have them too. I think it's just our way of coping with our fears subconsciously. Pregnancy tends to make dreams so much more real. I think we tend to dream what is on our mind most... at least I do. Try not to stress and relax before bed. Hope that helps! xx

Yes. Watching the scary movie ,"it follows," is a terrible idea. I was already having bad dreams, now they are worse.

And I'm pretty sure eating before bed will make it worse. Between that and all the extra hormones, it's just bound to make some crazy stuff happen.

Thankfully I haven't had any scary ones, but for some reason I keep having dreams about getting back together with one of my exes. He wasn't the worst bf I had ever had, but he wasn't the best either. Either way, I just chalk it up to being crazy pregnancy dreams. And if it does mean anything, I think it would just be me missing having him as a friend sometimes. I never really wanted to date him to begin with. Just other things lol. But he insisted and then it all went down hill.

Oh yeah happens to me most every night. The best way I found to reduce their chances of happening is to not eat a couple hours before I go to bed. I know that sounds weird and unrelated but I think it has something to do with the chemicals in your digestive system interacting with the rest of your body.
