possible threatened miscarriage

Hi, I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. The doctors said its a possible threatened miscarriage due to the fact I was bleeding like I almost was starting my period on Mon. I've done blood tests at the E.R. and I had to do a follow up with reg. Doctor. My hcg level has dropped & my gestational sac didn't grow within a week. Is it possible I could still have my baby and carry on to a healthy pregnancy?
P.s. I have had off and on spotting ever since I found out I was pregnant

As far as what I know no because your levels should never drop they should rise I hope I am wrong but that's what I know about it
