Tums and milk were the only think that helped but mine was constant so I had to take more than the recommended dose just to get through the day. Finally my midwife (the same one who told me to take them as needed) decided to put me on Zantac - one in the morning and one at night and its saved me life. Too bad she waited til I only have like two weeks left lol but oh well.

Here's a few tips my doctor told me about. Prop yourself up at night when you sleep. Don't drink anything with your meals just between them. Eat 6 SMALL meals through the day. Also don't eat after like 8 Pm. All these things help a lot !

heartburn is probably my worst enemy right now. My doctor recommended Zantac. 1 pill twice daily. It didn't work at first but then after a few weeks of taken it, it finally started working. Now if I don't take it, I feel like I'm dying. Tums, milk, water, or crackers didn't work. It just made it worse for me.

Milk or creamer. Tums, grape Popsicles helped me a lot. I also take ranitidine every day.

The only thing that's ever helped me is peppermint mints. Some try bicarbonated water not sure if that's how you spell it, milk, water, eating some crackers, bread,  or sucking on ice
