when did you start dialating or effacing?

I am 37 weeks tomorrow and not dialated or effaced at all. The doctors told me I am closed completely and my cervix is still high. I also don't feel like I've had many braxton hicks either! It's making me nervous.

With my first pregnancy I went to my 36 week appointment and I was 100% effaced and 2 cm dilated with my mucus plug gone. I didn't feel anything happening. I didn't even notice my mucus plug coming out. I did squat a lot and semen has prostaglandin in it and that softens your cervix.

@Sari Iam the same at 37 weeks n my obgyn has told me to wait another week n then she will try to use some other methods to get me started.
I guess praying n hoping is our only way for now. Good luck.

@angie sometimes if you are on the heavier side it takes a while for your body to register the baby's movements. At 20 weeks they are only slight fluttering movements. Also they are not very frequent.  Wait till you r 22 weeks or talk to your doctor.

Many women don't dilate until the onset of labor. Don't stress.

this is your first pregnancy so try and relax you usually don't feel the baby first kick until between 16-18 weeks but if you are really worried about it talk to your dr about it.
