So Im almost 18 wks & lately my boyfriend and I have been getting in these 'moderate' arguing/yelling/pushing/shoving fights.(No hitting) Does anyone know if these altercations could harm the baby? If something was wrong with the baby, would I feel pain or bleeding? I haven't felt anything but I'm worried bc I cant tell if I'm feeling movement or food,gas,or anything else that could be mistaken for movement for a first time mom like me. I'd appreciate any advice, please nothing negative. I'm doing everything I can to move away. Thanks

You will have cramping/bleeding till at least the 3rd trimester, I was in an abusive relationship until I was 14 weeks when the father of the baby kicked me repeatedly in the stomach as hard as he could and hit me like a man him being 200 lbs I'm shocked to say I'm now 35 weeks with a perfectly healthy baby! Get away as soon as you can no man is worth more than your baby!

The baby is protected by the uterus and the fluid surrounding them. So they should be fine but id recommend not letting it happen any further in worry that he will do worse!

If u are concerned of anything being wrong with the baby go to your doctor. Sometimes i feel like i cant feel my baby but every onxe in a while baby moves. Im 15 weeks. And as for the relationship thing keep all the arguing and things to a minimum it only stresses you so if u are wanting to leave for now try to find a coping strategy. Ive been through it myself so just try to relax until things get better

I'm sorry you and your baby went through that, I'm glad to hear that you and your baby are healthy. I don't have any pain or bleeding, but was worried something could still be wrong and I wouldn't know it until my next u/s in 3 wks. Thanks for sharing your experience ,it gives me lots of hope for my baby. I hope the rest of your pregnancy&delivery go great!!

Well no good relationship would have pushing shoving it yelling, as you said get out as soon as you can.. I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm 6weeks 4 days today. I hope the best for you:) how old are you?
