What would you do?

My husband has been picked out of all the journey men in our local to go to vegas for a 4 day training meet. I am due Feb 18th. Schedule d for the 11th for birth. He would be gone from January 29th thru feb 1st. I may have to go at 36 weeks depending. Would you tell him to go as it is a great opportunity or would you ask him to stay? Thanks for a sky input.

Ya just make sure he talks to someone about u being pregnant just incase u do go in to labor. Hopefully your little one will wait until daddy gets home though! I say he should go if it is going to be better for the family especially if he can come home early if need be.

I'd let him go.  He can hop a plane out of vegas if you have to deliver early - which seems a little unlikely.  I think you'll know a lot  better on Jan. 29 when he has to get on the plane.

Jess this is a one time opportunity. If he passes this up there will not be another offered to him. I already checked with the hall.

That is what I am thinking. I just know it is going to be a fight to get him to go. The union hall pays for everything so we would not be out any money. It also said in letter that they can send you home early for medical emergency.

I would ask him to stay. There's always next year for a training meeting but seeing your child being born is a once in a lifetime thing and being that close to your due date you never know when you could go in labor

Its always so hard when it comes to our hard working men and us... All though it is a huge deal and very close to your due date I would still allow him to take up this great opportunity with the exception of being able to hop on a plane and come back if needed.
