I would keep an opened mind. With my first i went in to labor and pushed through the pain for 5 hours at home ecause i didnt want to goin Nd hear ur only a few cm. So aftrt 5 houri went in and in alot of pain and little did i know i was 9 cm and i just wanted the shot to ease the pain i couldnt even have that. I hyperventilated and they had to put a oxygen mask on me. It was scary. So i had my baby so fast i didnt have time to think a 6 hour labor with my first child crazy. Sothis time around m goin to the hospital when i start feelin any pain so i can get the shot.

I was induced with my first, the contractions were so terrible! (I agree that being induced makes it more painful) I was screaming for an epidural, but by the time they got me to the birthing room I was already fully dilated. So I had gas instead, they turned the gas up so much that I was passing out between pushing :/
My second birth was natural and what I would call breezy, it wasn't easy by no means, but no inducement and no gas, and I never asked for the epidural. I was in labour for 9 hours and I am hoping my third one is as breezy as my second.

Yes I'm 29 weeks [ REAL close To My Due Date Nov 28 ] & I'm Terrified Of Needles , I've Been doing good my pregnancy drawing blood & etc , But having something in my back I can't , I had a random seizure & had to get a spinal tab & since then my back has been painful

My mom didn't get Epurdural for all 4 of us , so I'm hoping I can do same with my first

I have had three natural births.  you can do it. my last two were induced and were.complet hell. I honestly believe induction makes it way more painful.  this baby I will not be induced unless I have to and I will try for natural but have my mind open to epidural..  if I can convince my self at the time. lol. I'm praying my husband and midwife will help make me do it if I need it. this is my last child and I want to relax and enjoy it this time.

I had a natural birth with my first child, that was 11yrs ago. And i will be doing the same with this one as well. I'm currently 19wks.  I have already told my husband he said I'm crazy.
But i know he doesn't know what it feels like seeing that he's a guy. Lol
the contractions are what hurts the most.  Pushing the baby out us nothing. But i remember those contractions to be very painful.  I have never experienced period cramps before, but the contractions feel like pulling and twisting of my insides. It would stop me while i walked and i would slowly make my way to the ground.
Also i would start feeling like i needed to poop. And by then i went to the drs. By the time i got to the drs i was ready to push the baby out. Once that baby got out the contractions stopped. I Was So relieved.
But I'll be going natural again as long as there are no complications or anything.

I have had a natural birth before. This time I'm ready for anything but a c section. Don't want that. I'm terrified of the epidural but I have had an epidural 3 times. I still freak out a little

I would also prefer to have a natural birth, but I'm going into this with an open mind & no set birth plan. This is my 1st so I have no idea what to expect and however it goes is how it will go. My main goal is to just have a happy, healthy baby boy.

with my "natural" (no pain meds) birth, I had to be induced because of advanced placental age. it was thirteen hours and I went in telling the nurses not to even mention an epidural, I knew my options and wanted to go without. it hurt, and hopefully this time I won't need to be induced, but if you have your heart set don't let the nurses discourage you

If were you I would put it in writing you don't want pitocin other wise there's and 80% chance you'll end up with a c-section. It happened to me and I didn't have an epidural I went to 8cm and my daughter's heart rate dropped due to the pitocin. Watch business of being born it'll open your eyes.

Every mother is different as well as every delivery. With my first (2yrs. ago), I thought I was going to go natural in the beginning, and said I didn't need anything. I was dilating and contracting without any pain. I thought it was going to be a breeze. Let me tell you, after those contractions (for me) were full blown for 7+ hrs( a total of 16hrs) (the apocalypse could've been going on, or the Pope could have been there, and I would've never noticed. They were beyond awful. Again everyone is different), I didn't even feel them put the epideral in. Once it kicked in, with 4 pain-free pushes, she was out. What a breeze that was! I ask you to go in with an open mind cause IF you decide that you may need it. It maybe to late. Never had any problems from getting the epideral. Just giving hopefully a positive second view/ experience. Good luck ladies!

my natural birth was a much better experience than my first! I want to go with no epidural this time, but my doctors are wary because I'm having twins. you can do it!
