With my 1st child I was 1cm for weeks. They just had to put me in and make her come.

Yea you could definitely stay that way until your due date. With my first I went past my due date and I was 3 or 4 cm dilated. I'm now 37 weeks 4 days and I'm 3cm dilated and 50% effaced and the doctor said it could be any day now or the baby could wait another 3 weeks.

Honestly, you could stay that way for weeks or go into labor this week. The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor or midwife about their concerns. If they aren't worried about it, I wouldn't worry.

Sometimes it takes forever and other times it is quick! :p I hope you are one of the fast ones! You could go on walks and have sex! Since you're already dilated and effaced some it will help!

I'm 29 weeks 70% effaced and 2cm dilated but I'm on bed rest and taking medicine to stop my labor or I would have had my baby!
