Hi there.  It is really difficult to switch doctors midway through pregnancy. Most doctors will not take a patient as they progress into pregnancy as there is more liability.  speaking of liability, your doctor would not recommend that you work if it would endanger you or baby so she must be pretty confident it won't.  It's hard with lady doctors as they probably worked their entire pregnancies themselves and then are less sympathetic.  I'm not sure the answer is finding someone to put you on bed rest because your current doctor won't.  :)

What about talking to your place of employment about some ways to make your work day easier for you?

Oh, and remember, bed rest isn't an easy thing to sustain your job or keep your income.  With many companies, you can have a set number of days of short term disability (which bed rest falls under AS DOES maternity leave, so the days AFTER baby go into the same pot of days) and once you go over those days, it switches to long term disability and benefits are substantially different (usually) for long term disability.  Things like being able to save your job for you and how much you make are affected).  So, look into that and what it really means for you financially to go on long term bed rest (assuming you aren't do in 2 weeks).

good luck hon.  Pregnancy sure is hard.  It's amazing we do it more than once, isn't it?

Id find a new dr and a easier job. My c section was only 3yrs apart. It might be because everyone is different but I'm not sure.

I have c sections and I didn't have a problem with pain. I was on my feet at least 7hrs 5days a week. But this is my 3rd and I stay at home now and I've had more pains with this pregnancy than the other 2. I just get told its ligaments but I know it's not cause I have that too and it feels different.
