I know you're almost just two years younger than him, but legally, they do the math.
He's more than 24 months older than you are and that's what matters legally.
I personally don't agree with this, because this is how the world worked since the beginning of time - older teenage boys dated younger teenage girls. That was the complete norm, and now it's a felony.
Just letting you know, if your parents want to press this, it may become an issue. This is one of the few crimes that the state doesn't take the lead - someone else has to invoke the law or it isn't prosecuted.
Bonnie, if he's 18 and you're 15, there's more than a 2 year difference in your age. I don't know specifically what state you live in, but if your parents want to press charges they probably could, and it would be felony statutory rape.
It's not you the courts would judge, but him. Do you think your parents will press charges?
Im 19 pregnant for the first time , my babyfather is 21 with 3 kIds already, so trust me i know how it feels to feel like your being judged
Don't worry about what others think. My fiancé is 12 years older than me and I turned 21 in April and I'm pregnant with our third child. Yes people are going to say something but honestly if you love that person then it shouldn't matter what others say about it. I also told people who made comments to us or about us in the one dating him and sleeping with him so it's non of anyone else business. If your happy and he's happy then that's what matters :) and congrats :) hope everything goes well with your pregnancy :)
Where I live the limit is 2 years and that's what it is I'll just be 16 in September
