Thank you, I still hope for a vag birth this time, but I've come to grips with the fact that it might not be. So, either way, a baby is a baby. I may not have ever been meant to have a vag birth, maybe it's God's way of saying "it's not going to work that natural way". My sons was only 7lbs 10oz, 21 inches, but who knows maybe I would have had a c-section even if he wasn't breech.
just wanted to let you know that alot depends on your doctor. i am currently getting ready to have my 4th csection. and it will be my last, just because i only ever wanted 4 children. so if you and your dh want 3 or 4 children... even if you can never have a vag delivery. there is no reason why you cant have them all csection if needed
good luck.
Thank you ladies, I've just seen a lot of posts where women have only had c-sections and have been told to limit the number of babies they have. I personally want four, DH wants three...so we're not sure yet, but I don't want to be limited by having to have c-sections. I would love a vag birth this time, mostly because the second I found out I was pregnant I realized I could live out my dream of a completely natural water birth, BUT obviously that was far from what I did have. So I hope I can have a vag birth this time, I'm going to insist on it...and if anything goes wrong, or I don't dilate fast enough then I'd agree to c-section.
I had major complications with my 1st baby and my 3rd both c-sections and I ended up back in the or with both my son immediately after his delivery and my 3rd about a month after she was born. It was awful. Mine were complications from the actual operation but my incision got infected both times. It was painful and gross too. I had a vag with my 2nd and you know what it all hurts no matter how they come out. I"m not one to have these beautiful deliveries there is always a crisis. It's really at this point a decision that is out of your hands what type of delivery you may have. As long as you and your baby are safe that should be your biggest concern. It's hard to plan anything you just never know. I would wait until you are well into your 2nd trimester so you can see how the pg is and how big the baby is etc. Talk about your options with your dr! I'm not trying to rain on your parade it's just been my personal experience that my dr doesn't talk about birth options until closer to the due date. Maybe yours will. I would think positive etc. Best wishes to you in ttc and I hope you have a wonderful delivery!

honestly i would probably wait til i was back stateside... this would be if i were in your situation myself... not only are thier more chances of having a delivery the way you want it but also there are more doctors here i believe who would be maybe more willing for you to try a VBAC.
as far as the incision.... i am sorry you had issues with your incision closing... but to determine if you are elgible for a VBAC would not have any impact on how it closed from the outside, but from the way it was cut on the inside.... if you had a complete bikini (low transverse) incision, where it was hip to hip inside and out then you should be fine to have a VBAC. or if you were cut across on the inside even though you may have been cut up and down on the outside (classic T ) then you would also in my understanding be able to do a VBAC. the only way that they would NOT want you to do a VBAC is if you have a up and down (vertical) incision all the way through... or have had more than 1-2 csections. and alot of it also depends on your doctor. there are alot of doctors who because of legalities do not want to allow VBAC's anymore even though they were quite popular a few years ago.... one thing you would have to consider though, is a VBAC you almost always HAVE to go into labor on your own for it to even remotely be successful. otherwise you may end up with another csection.
sorry that this was soooo long, but this is all of the info that i am aware of... you could ask your current OB/GYN and see what he/she thinks... and if you are ready to TTC now... then look up a ob and ask some questions... maybe there is someone where you are that will support your decision for a VBAC and it will be great for you.
Just my take on it... GOOD LUCK
