Ovulation pains

Hi everyone!
WEll, here I am, asking my very own question!  :D
Anyways, I was hoping to get a general survey on who here in the community has regular O pain (how many days it lasts, how severe, etc), and also, if it was worse on the month when the BFP showed up.

I have been having a lot of little twitches in my right ovary, which were worse when I thought I was ovulating (so right on target for timing,  I think) a few days ago, starting on thursday.
So is that the actual egg being released, or is that just the corpus luteum getting ready to rupture and it's before the actual release of the egg?
So many questions, and I know it's near impossible to go off of pains alone.
But thank you for all the insights so far!  :)

Thank you for your helps ladies :)
I may look into hemp hearts when I give up ttc (b/c of the O pain helping me to know when to BD).
My right ovary wins 4/5 times also!  But I've been feeling it on the left side to this month...

TWW aghhhhhhhhhhh!        ;)  it's really not that bad.

Also, my doctor put me on prometrium to lighten my periods...will this interfere with ttc, does anyone know?  It says on the bottle to not take if planning on becoming prego or are prego, yet I've heard women who need progesterone supplements while prego.   I am taking them starting 10 days before my menstrual cycle, and stopping on my 1st cd.

Thanks again!

sorry I forgot something,

usually the pain comes from the ovary that is releasing the egg. You should notice one of them releases more than the other, for me my right ovary wins 4/5 times!

I dont to be honest know if its the egg releasing that hurts or the corpus luteum like you suggested. perhaps its both!

Hello,

I get O pain every month, like clockwork. It is the major reason I know when I ovulate along with cm.. i also get really bad period cramps.... I have found a way to decrease and almost realieve these all together. Hemp hearts, I buy them at the health food store, look them up! They are a God Send.
although when you are ttc its almost nice to have that O pain b/c then you know that you are!
Hope this helps~

I wish I could help answer your question , but I dont remember feeling any pain or anything before or during ovulation....The only reason I even knew when my ovulation time was is because I charted online & my CM would increase.....and when I got my BFP , I had what I thought was super bad AF cramps .....Im sorry hun! I wish I could help answer your question :(
