bata levels... could it be twins?

Im wondering. My husband and i have been doing injectable medications to try and get pregnant again after our miscarrage last january. this month we found out it worked! we are soooo excited. My first blood level was 237 on tuesday, then yesterday (saturday) they did the test again to make sure the levels had doubled properly. my level came back at 1720! at first i was happy wow the level went up great but then i did the math and it looks like it doubled every 33 hours and not 48. someone told me it could be a molar pregnancy and thats why it is raising so fast but then i see people say they have levels higher than that and its twins. I have an early u/s at 5w1d do see how thing are going since with that level they should see something but im wondering. What are my chances of having twins and should i be worried about the molar?

You could be. When you get a positive pregnancy test earlier than expected it could be a sign of twins. Only way to find out for sure would be to get an u/s

I dont know my levels but three pregnancy tests (one was a sensitive test , the other two were cheap ones) and all three showed a positive line at 13dpo. With my first pregancy this line didn't appear until several days after a missed period and that was faint. I've have two sets of twin siblings (poor mum) does this mean there's a chance I could have twins?

In the early ultrasounds it is very possible for them to miss a twin because they are so small!

Congrat's Shanniree! I am having twins too .. and my levels were sky high too!   =)

Thursday will be here before you know it!  Just know that your u/s is really early, so you may not see anything.  If that happens, please don't think the worst, it's most likely just to early.    My first u/s was at 5wks5days, and we saw sacs and the yoc sacs.  I will be looking for your update!!! :)

Baby Dust Coming your way!!! :)
