pregnacy over 35

I am 39 5 wks 3 dys I had a v/us on Wed they saw a gestational sac as well as a yolk sac (1 Dr said it looked small the other said it look fine for a 5 weeks and schould have a heart beat next week) no heart beat or fetal pole my hcg level is 19,236.10 my progesterone  is 25.6 they did not order another hcg level(spoke to nurse dr in surgery) and I am going on tues for a 2nd sono should i be concerned that it stopped growing.  Would I still have pregnacy symtons?  would my levels be that high if it was not viable.  Whould they have ordered another test.  I just need to know were I stand.  Also I read that if the number is above 10,800 you should see a fetal pole but also that it must be past 40 days i was at 37 please explain I am very worried!!

Hi!  Congratulations!  
Your numbers all sound very good. The yolk sac is a great sign, and it would not be surprising to me at all NOT to see a fetal pole or heart beat as early as you are.

Another quant beta HCG is not going to give you very much information once it is this high--as it won't necessarily double.  Another progesterone wouldn't hurt, but isn't standardly ordered if you don't have a history of infertility.  25 is a good number.  

Another sono is exactly what you need, and unfortunately doing it  sooner is not going to do you any good--it just takes these little guys time to develop!

Pregnancy symptoms are very variable--some people never have any at all, and some are sick from the word go.  Often my patients seem to feel fine until about week 7.

So, as I just told another anxious mamma yesterday, take your vitamins, get plenty of rest and (if you do this) pray.

Hello. I am 37years old and ttc again.  I had a D&C July 23rd and my cycle resumed August 21st.Lasted 4 days.  My next cycle came September 21st and lasted 4 days.  My cycle for October however, came October 12th.  Doing my calculations that was accurate perhaps a day earlier, but only lasted  less than one day!  I've taken my temp for the October 15th at 6:15 and it was 98.19.  I took my temp again this morning, at 6:05 and it was 98.33.  I layed back down until 6:30 and took my temp again at 6:30, which was 98.13.  Fell back to sleep and took it again at 7am, it was 97.17, then again at 9:30.  It was 98.19.  What could this be?  My husband is 29 and we want to despertaly have a baby. I am worried!  The first time I was pregnant back in June, my period came on the day it was supposed to but lasted less than a day.
