high heart rate

Hi I'm nicole. I'm 15.5 weeks pregnant ans for the past 4 days my heart rate has been 130-140 and it is normally 80-90. And my hands are very shaky. Bp is good though. Any ideas?

I test 4 times daily and eat regularly (like I described above). If I don't, I feel sick and I risk not keeping my blood sugars in control.

It's important to eat regularly because it helps keep your blood sugars from spiking (going too high).and crashing.(going too low).

It sounds like you aren't controlling your blood sugars. You need to eat at least 3 well balanced meals and 3 snacks per day. I suggest you call your doctor as soon as they're open and explain what you're experiencing with your heart rate, diet and blood sugars. Your doctor might want you to see a nutritionist and or put you on meds. Its extremely important to control your blood sugars, especially during pregnancy.

I eat breakfast at 11am and checked my blood sugar at 5:30 I hadnt eaten anything inbetween and by bs level was 150 and I have had awful headachs and sweat all the time?  Any ideas?

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that the resting heart rate is often elevated in pregnancy.  Women often also have irregular heart beats too.  If you were my patient, i would  want to do an ekg and perhaps a holter monitory for 24 hours or so to further evaluate.  You should probably mention it to your doctor or midwife.
