My daugters baby was born not breathing, poop first and in babys system, and a bunch of things wrong with her,
I just fount out that a few days before she was born, my daughters husband had choked her and cut off her oxygen for quite a while. ( she was in early stages of labour when this happened) Could what he did have caused any of these things to be wrong with her? They think the baby is going to be alright, however they are still runnig a bunch of test on her. I really need to know if what he did contributied to what has happened.

Thank You, concerened grandmother

Hi!
It is unlikely that the episode you describe contributed substantially to the baby's condition.  Meconium in the amniotic fluid is fairly common, and most cases turn out well.  As baby's get closer to their due dates, passage of meconium becomes more common; by two weeks overdue a high percentage of babies will be affected.

Rather than trying to figure out whom to assign the blame to, it might be more helpful to encourage your daughter and her spouse find a marriage counselor who was mutually acceptable.  If there is high stress before the baby is born,  there will certainly be stress once a new baby has arrived!

Good luck!

It is very much likely that it could have been the reason why Baby has got all those complications, because a baby needs it's mother to function, and if her oxygen supply was cut off, it could deffo lead to complications for the baby. I hope Baby gets well soon, who does that to a pregnant woman anyway? I hope the person has been arrested.. They (mother and child) could have lost their lives!

All the best. xxx :)
