My twin sons were born at 28 weeks. They spent 9 weeks in the hospital all together. I spent the last three weeks with them.
They are 20 months now and doing great.
It is the hardest thing you will ever experience but you will get through it. Lots of hugs xxx
I spent 15 weeks on bedrest in the hospital with my daughter - she was born 8 weeks early and she was home in 10 days - and she was considered pretty healty except for an ecoli infections her blood developed when I had a UTI that want undetected for 6 weeks .... she needed 8 days of antibiotics and the other 2 to work on feeding... just listen to what they tell you and remember you will be out soon -this will not last forever... and every day that your baby is in there is WONDERFUL!!
They usually say as a rule of thumb that babies that are born early will be in the hospital until there due date, however with all the medical technology and advancement it is usually not that long! I had my 1st baby when I was 18 and he was born at 28 weeks, I was scared half out of my mind that he was'nt going to be ok, but he did pretty good for how early he was he was in the hospital for exactly 2 months (got out a month before he was due) since you are in the hospital now they are probably giving you steriod shots to help develope the mungs this will help a lot, there usually are no rules saying how much the baby has to weigh now to go home, so it may not take that long depending! Good luck and things will be ok! i know its hard being young and having a premature baby, but you can do it ! feel free to message me if you want more info!
My son was born at 33weeks5days and he spent 31 days in the hospital. Are they keeping you in the hospital untill you have your baby?
My twins were born 32+0, which is exactly 8 weeks early. They spent 4 weeks in the hospital before they could come home.
