What was the reason given for the administration of antibiotics?
-He was to schedule his biopsy with his doctor. When he received the call for his appointment. The doctors wanted to see if he responded to antibiotics before performing a biopsy
What was his PSA level during this given test.
-Unfortunately, I don't have exact numbers. He had a heart attack in March. At that time, his PSA level was slightly elevated. Recently, he was tested again and his levels were higher than the March results.
What is his age?
-58
And is there a positive family history of prostate cancer?
-No known prostate cancer history. His mother died of heart failure at 86. His father died of emphysema at 66 - he was a heavy smoker and had mild black lung from being a miner.
Note that he had an enlarged prostate due to complications from a Gall Bladder removal - approximately 2 years ago. I'm not sure if this would make him more prone to Prostate Infections or not.
Thanks for the input.
