Face Reconstruction/Where/Who

I am looking for a team of surgeons to reconstruct my friends face, he was in an electrical accident & lost his right eye, left ear, nose, upper lip, pallet, & left cheek mass.  I am looking for a team of doctors like the ones that reconstructed the lady in Chicago. How do I get people to see what he looks like to help him.

I would keep looking at other Universities. You can try going to UCSF or go down to Southern Calif and try USC, UCLA, and UCI. All of these universities have good medical care. Get another opinion, you don't have to stay with this one doctor you have just seen. Good Luck.

I have already taken him to Stanford University in CA where we met with a Dr. Gordon Lee.  The only problem with this doctor is he has never seen a case as bad as Tommy.  He did not seem very enthused about working on Tommy.  I really want a doctor that looks at him and says I can help you.  He is sending us to other doctors that specalize in different things, however he is the one that would reconstruct his cheek and upper lip.  He doesnt think it is necessary to give him back a nose.  He said a prosthesis is just as good.

One must start at a university setting where they are doing major burn or trauma reconstructions. Then get an appointment for your friend and go to see these doctors.Good luck.
