Is there a source for finding a physician specializing in treatment of mycobacterial infections of the lungs?

Thanks for your help. I will contact those you suggested if you think they can advise me on NON-TUBERCULOSIS mycobacterial infection, M. Gordonae.
Please advise. Thanks again. Julie Peters

There are 2 sources.  The first is to contact your state health department, many of which will have a tuberculosis (TB) program.  In Colorado, for example, this department is under, Disease Control and Environmental-Epidemiology (303) 692-2679.  A list of state TB control offices can be viewed at http://www.cdc.gov/tb/pubs/tboffices.htm.

The second is to contact the TB division at National Jewish Health® in Denver, Colorado.  National Jewish has offered a TB course for physicians for many years.  Physicians from all over the country enroll in this course.  Perhaps a physician in your area has been an attendee.  I suggest you call the administrative office of the division of mycobacterial and respiratory infections at (303) 398-1667 or (800) 423-8891 option 1 x1667 for further information.

Good luck.
