Thank you so much Doctor, i really appreciate it.
Final answer. It is most unlikely that the bump you noticed was HSV or any other STI. I would not worry about it. If you wish, should it recur, you could ask your doctor to take a lot and obtain a culture if appropriate.
End of thread. Further questions will be deleted without comment. EWH
So your advise now is I need to wait until I get that bump in my pubic again and get it tested?
I wish I could go back with time and do it.
Your post was seen. There was no answer because it did not change my opinion or advice. EWH
Hello Doctor Hook, I hope you well,
Have you seen my last post Doctor Hook?
Best wishes.
Hello Dr Hook,
I am really sorry to post again, but really I could not sleep well and enjoy my day since your last comment when you said if you have that lesion again on the pubic area get it tested, I forgot to tell you that when I got that single bump on my pubic area where the hair grows I showed a nurse and she said it does not look like Herpes, what do you think?
Really sorry to post again.
That is a silly unrealistic question, particualrly after the comments I have already made to your questions. For additonal perspective on questions of this sort, see the link below.

the risk that you have genital and not oral HSV-1 in very, very low. EWH
This is my final post I promise, i trust you Doctor Hook, can I be completely confident that I have oral HSV1 not genital HSV1?
Regards,
I have nothing more to say. Again, I think that you are over reacting. EWH
Many thanks Doctor Hook,
I was not really worried about the lesion I had on the pubic area where the hair grows, because I thought its a normal one but I became more worried after you said if you got it again get it tested with PCT.
I was just worried if that cold sore was not caused by Herpes1 so there will be a chance that I might have it in my genital.
I wish I could go back with time and correct my mistakes :( .
Many people mistake canker sores, which occur inside the mouth for cold sores. In addition, occasionally persons do have lesions on their lips which are not cold sores. Even so, your lesions are statistically most likely to be a cold sore. If the lesion has or ever recurs, then it is almost certainly a cold sore.
I noted your comment about a genital lesion. It does not change my opinion.
I think you are entirely too worried about this lesion. There is nothing more you can do to determine what it is although if it recurs you could have it tested with a PCT or culture test.
Please do not worry. EWH
Thanks Doctor Hook,
The thing is today I read in Yahoo Questions , there was someone asking about cold sores, that "Are cold sores only caused by herpes?
And someone said that "Not all sores on the lips are caused by herpes" and Dr Hunter in one thread agrees that not all cold sores on lips are caused by Herpes1, which made me really really worried, I know that you can not tell if that cold sore was caused by Herpes1 or not but what do you think? Can I be completely confident that that single cold sore was Herpes1. And just to let you know that I could not even laugh when I had it because it was really painful when I laugh.
And I think you did not see my second comment, I did not mention that after the cold sore gone , directly I had protected sex with an escort and after that protected sex I had a single bump on my pubic area just above the penis.
And I had full Std screen and thIrd HSV test at 10 months and all the results were negative and the HSV results were same as before, Positive for type 1 and negative for type 2 .
What do you think Doctor advise me I am going crazy with this situation.
Welcome to the Forum. I'll be glad to help interpret your test results. With both kissing and receipt of oral sex the risk for acquiring any STI is low. In your case, the fact that you have had cold sores indicates that you have oral HSV-1, the fact that your brother has HSV-1, and the fact that your blood test was positive just a week after your cold sore resolved is a strong indicator that your HSV-1 infection was present well before the cold sore appeared and was not acquired from your interactions with the masseuse. Most HSV-1 infections are acquired in childhood.
As far as your risk for genital HSV-1, there is almost no risk. The presence of HSV-1 at one site (such as your oral infection) makes it most unlikely that you will get a new infection at another site. The immunity induced by the initial HSV-1 infection prevents future infections.
I hope this comment is helpful. I would not worry further about the possibility of STIs from your pre-marital sexual exposures. EWH
Sorry Doctor,
I did not mention that I also had a single bump in the pubic area after the cold sore gone.
