You describe no exposures likely to transmit herpes or any other STD, and you have an obvious explanation (friction) for the lesions.
1) No online expert, whether it's me or anyone else, can provide as good advice as personal examination by a provider, especially in an STD clinic. If an STD clinic provider says it's friction and not herpes, that's my opinion as well. 2) I agree with your STD provider about the linear shape. 3) Follow the STD clinic's advice.
Good luck-- HHH, MD
he said probably from friction, i don't understand how i could cut myself like that from friction.
i was tested negative for both HSV 1 & 2 (igg) four months ago (i have never had cold sores)....so something would/could show up if do get tested again in a month for this incident.
also, i have had protected sex with a condom in the past month - but i don't think it would have caused theses symptoms, i do think that the other experiences i mentioned above might have.
Thanks
