I think you need to discuss this with your GYN. I realize that my perspective may be a bit skewed but I can tell you for sure that anxiety about these things can increase urinary frequency.

I know, people out there freak you out. There is a crazy women on a herpes forum that insists that herpes cannot be visually diagnosed and most people dont get lesions, which is what is freaking me out for the most part. I need to stop googling.
I guess what I'm wondering is why do I feel like I have to pee all the time and only one time I had an UTI (after I had sex with makes sense)? All of the other 3-4 urine samples have come back negative for anything except mucus. I am sure I will have to give another one when I go to the OBGYN tomorrow and it will be negative :( If this irritation/urinary frequency persists and no one can find the cause, what do I do next?
You have a wise and good doctor- believe her.
The antibiotics might stilll have set the stage. alternatively, it is just not that uncommon for women to get yeast infections.
Stay off the internet, please. Your situation, like that of many of our clients represents a great example of the power of the internet not only to inform but also to mislead. While there is much useful information available on the internet, much of it is also taken out of context or a bit unbalanced and some of it is just plain wrong.
This is not herpes. Nothing to suggest it. EWH
She says the same thing to me "it's an unfortunate chain of events" and I honestly think shes sending me to the OBGYN so I'll leave her alone haha. The irriation to the point of a little bloody really freaked me out. She looked very closely a day after it happened and could not see any cuts, bumps, etc and thought it was just very irritated. I keep reading online that herpes can be very atypical and sometimes the doctor can't see anything at all and it's herpes. I just think its so weird that my urinary frequency is so persistant over the last 3 months.
It slipped off in me when he went to pull out but we noticed before he finished, he was not 'keeping it up that well' to put it lightly.
I stopped the antibiotics around a month before my yeast, isn't that a little long for them to cause the yeast?
I have no no flu/headache/etc. I have had a lump in the back of my throat..I am going to believe that is anxiety.
And could the herpes causing the weird painless muscle spasms in my left thigh? Or is that totally unrelated?
Welcome to our Forum. Please don't lose it, there is no need and you are in the clear. Let me try to help.
Before I do, it's not clear if the condom slipped completely off or just down. If it just slipped down, there is no risk at all. If it slipped off, the risk in very small as I said. The reason it is small starts with the fact that it is unlikely that your partner had an STD of any sort and, even if he did, when people are exposed to infected partners, the infection is transmitted less than half the time (and typically far less).
So. let's analyze things step-by-step:
1. Exposure- see above. Low risk. Urinary frequency is not a common sign of STDs. On the other hand, it is a common sign of a urinary tract infection which can follow intercourse. Your tests proved that you did not have a common STD.
2. Sounds like folliculitis to me as well.
3. Your risk for HIV tomorrow is very, very tiny. I would be very surprised if it were positive.
4. Yeast is a common complication of taking antibiotics. this doesn't surprise me.
5. I agree with your doctor there are problems with the herpes blood test in your situation and since you already know you are likely to have HSV-1 from childhood, it is more likely that you would have a falsely positive test for HSV-2 than that you actually have it.
Bottom line, I think you are over thinking this and have had a chain of events which are coincidental, not due to an STD. My recommendation is to get your last HIV test result and then believe the test results. I hope you'll find my comments helpful. EWH
I also had a yeast infection Aug 30th which the doctor checked out via external exam only since I had my period. I did 3 day monistat, it cleared and I went back after it cleared on Sept 3rd for internal, everything looked normal.
I should also note, I am prone to UTIs after sex if I haven't had it in a while and when i went in on Sept 16th, I had started 3 day Bactrim (my doc gives me open prescription to)
