Herpes symptoms usually start 3-10 days after catching the virus, sometimes as long as 3 weeks. Pain varies widely from one person to another.
I didn't say you can't get genital herpes. I said you cannot catch another infection with HSV-1. Once someone has HSV-1 or HSV-2, he or she is immune to catching the same virus type again, anywhere on the body.
Herpes rarely causes sores inside the mouth. If that's where your sores are, probably they are canker sores, not herpes. It's an entirely different condition. But this probably makes no difference; most people are positive for HSV-1 anyway, with or without symptomatic oral herpes.
It is not possible your symptoms are due to herpes. Trust me on this. Please accept the reassurance and stop arguing with it. Time to move on. That's all for this thread.
Thank you for your response. How soon do the symptoms of discharge or sores on penis happen from the day of the incident. And when you say sores...are these he hsv2 herpies?...I was told that these sores really hurt....The side of my penis where the skin has seemed to be rubbed out or peeled...might look like a sore..but not too much pain if any. If I had a sore..would the pain be so bad that I would know its a sore? And when you say i'm immune to the hsv virus....I can't get genital herpies? And lasty..Since I am hsv1 positive...how come I've never gotten the sores on my outter lips as I've seen on some pictures..I only get cold sores inside my mouth.
If I understand correctly, you received oral sex from 2 or 3 different women over several hours. They probably are at high risk for having STDs. So that information suggests potential risk of infection. On the other hand, at least one of the exposures was condom protected, so that one doesn't count. Further, oral sex in general is low risk, and the large majority of STDs that you can catch by oral sex -- gonorrhea, syphilis, and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) -- cause symptoms. So if you don't develop abnormal discharge of pus or mucus from the penis, and no sores on the penis, you can be quite sure you didn't catch anything. (Oral sex can transmit genital herpes due to HSV-1. but since you already have that virus you are immune to a new infection.)
As far as "wrinkly skin" of the penis, that sounds entirely normal. Hard to say much about a little flaking skin, but that also doesn't sound like any STD. Same for "weird feelings" in the genital area. Finally, there is no STD that is likely to cause a rash of the forearms.
To calm your nerves and be completely safe, I suggest you visit a health care provider to examine your penis and forearms, and perhaps have STD testing -- not because I think you have something, but because the negative test results will be reassuring. If you don't have a primary care provider, your local health department STD clinic would be an excellent choice.
Finally, it seems clear you need treatment and counseling about substance abuse and perhaps other mental health issues. Also, when someone suggests his or her own symptoms might have an emotional origin ("maybe anxiety and guilt"), usually s/he is correct. That sort of problem not only is evident here, but also in many of the multiple other questions you have asked in the STD and herpes community forums in the past few months. I suggest it out of compassion, not criticism.
I hope this helps calm your nerves. Best wishes-- HHH, MD
