joint pain and std exposure

hi
i have been on this forum before i have some additional questions. my problem started  after a covered exposure with a csw a few days after i began to experience severe nausea and severe sore throat then 2 weeks later buzzing electrical toe which then spread to my knees ankles  then wrists and lower back my joint pain is now going on for 6 months with numbness and sensory problems i was tested for hiv 6 times over a 4 m0nth period i was also tested for hep gonnorhea chlamydia. i had an emg which stated neuropathy at the wrist due to carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve i also had m protein in my urine 2 weeks after the encounter with a high white count 11.3 then i started getting occular migraines i just went to a new dr and he said its possible that i had urethritis that spread and settled in my joints with nerve pain but no weakness he put me on doxy for 14 days my question is
1 could untreated urethritis cause these symptoms
2 have you ever seen anyone with this situation
3 is doxy the right drug and is 14 days long enough
4 is this some type of reactive arthritis
5if this does not sound feasable then are there any other stds  that could cause joint problems that im missing testing for
thanks as always for your response

HIV is not a likely cause.  But if your doctor recommends HIV testing, follow that advice.

Commenting first on the title of your question:  No STD causes chronic joint pain as the primary symptom.  Your joint pain is not due to any infection caught during any sexual exposure.

1) Urethritis also is not a possible cause of the symptoms you describe.

2) No, not due to any STD.  Certainly I have seen many people with symptoms like you describe that were attributed to anxiety, depression, or other psychological issues.  That's the likely realm of your problems, I believe.

3) I see no reason for treatment of symptoms like these with doxycycline or any other antibiotic.

4) Reactive arthritis is an unlikely cause of this.

I strongly suggest that you abandon all attempts to find answers to your health problems by online searching.  In any case, you need to stop looking for sexually transmitted explanations.  Your symptoms almost certainly are not related to the sexual exposure you are concerned about, unless through the psychological route suggested above -- e.g. if you harbor anxieties, guilt, etc about the exposure.
