white spots on penis head

Dear Doc,

I am getting these tiny white spots on my penis head..When i rub them they look like a tiny white ring of skin..like its growing back. After a couple of days the skin is plain and smooth at these areas.. there is no pain or itching or discharge of any kind at all.. again after a couple of days same thing happens at a another point on the penis head..once when this happen before i applied candid cream and my penis skin was smooth and perfect. but now again it has started i am worried what to do... I have not had any unprotected sex...only unprotected sex i had was with my wife a a week ago..And also before a month i had my hiv test which came back negative...I am very worried about this.. Do you think it an std or some kind of fungal or bacterial infection. Please advise on it..I am very worried..

You should listen to your doctor.  Since he believes your penis looks normal, that also is my opinion -- nothing is wrong.  As already discussed, it for sure isn't herpes.  Please stop asking the same question repeatedly and move on with your life.

dear doc,

I did show the doctor earlier in 2008.. he said it was fungal infection and gave me necessary meds.

But as stated above I am experiencing the above symtoms again. I have visited the doctor and he said it dosent look anything abnormal. and gave me anti fungal meds.
now since last 2 days I am experiencing a bit of tingling on the foreskin...
Do you think these symptoms are anything near to herpes. As my doc suggested I take a blood test to be sure as I had a couple of unprotected oral sex encounters but always protected intercourse.

Please reply back.. I am worried about it being herpes. what do you reckon

Welcome back to the forum.

From your description, this sounds lihe the same symptoms you discussed on the dermatology forum back in 2008.  Have you had the same problem all this time?  Did you see a doctor about it, as suggested?  In any case, no STD causes anything like this -- and the large majority of skin problems of the penis are not STDs.  And having not had unprotected sex, obviously you remain at little or no risk of STD or HIV.

All I can do, therefore, is suggest (once again) that you see a health professional.  In the meantime, there is no reason to be concerned about STDs or HIV.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
