The worst part of living in limbo land

The worst part for me is when you look into your husbands eyes and know he is so tired of hearing about doctors appointment after doctors appointment. When will the doctors take you serious? I had a total thyroidectomy and was diagnosed with micro-papillary cancer  March 27th this year  with no treatment and my life has been hell every since. I am tired all the time, I have ocular migraines every morning, dizziness, feet pain, leg pain, knee pain, arm weakness, weak bladder, constipation, diarrhea, stomach cramps, swollen lymph nodes in neck, weight loss, hair loss, Livedo Reticularis, heart palpitations, Vitamin B12 deficient--being treated, Vitamin D deficient-already treated, skin burning pain, depression andhigh nor-epinephrine level and the list goes on and on. All I want to do now is sleep.

For the last 8 months it has been a never ending cycle of bloodwork and doctors appoinments. Money doesn't grow on trees and we are in debt for over 40,0000 dollars in medical bills since the insurance company is trying to call this pre-existing. I just want it to end, I want to wake up and feel good again.

My father had his thyroid removed about 12 yrs ago. It was not cancer. It was just dying. He takes synthroid now.
I know it gets really old going to doctor after doctor. But somtimes you have to until you find one that helps you..You need to find help. You should not have to feel like this everyday...
Parathyroid/lymph node whats the difference right..Wow....I cant believe the doctor did that....

Treatment with RAI-131 is usually given for papillary cancer. My doctor at first was going to do treatment, told me I needed it. And then after being off thyroid meds for 6 weeks he changed his mind and decided against treatment. Yes i did as well as most people have low calcium after thyroidectomy due to the parathyroids being disturbed or taken out. I had an enlarged parathyroid they took out that my surgeon mistook for a lymph gland during surgery. And he made it through medical school. Only found out when pathology came back on it.

My calcium level is normal.

I am so sorry that you are going through this.
I too have run the gauntlet of doctors and tests and I know how you feel.
I may be mistaken but isnt a thyroidectomy the treatment for that type of cancer?
I read that Hypocalcemia (presence of low serum calcium levels in the blood)is a common side effect after thyroidectomy.

I hope you get some peace soon.....
