Hi jibs
thanks for the update - it'll be interesting to hear the outcome from your next visit. Maybe you could ask why no bloods - especially re vits - or MRIs?
Hahaha...on another patient-led site, the founder has a catchphrase for unhelpful docs: 'Fire his sorry ***!'
Seems to work well!
I think Wonko's quite right - once one little thing goes awry then there's often a chain reaction which involves many of our weakest bits and pieces. It probably wouldn't happen if only the docs would sort the originating problem quickly...sigh...

hi jibby,
oh, i'm doing okay. things are pretty much the same on my end so i haven't had much to report. my detox diet seems to have stopped working its magic, so i am back to where i was energy wise which is disappointing. like i mentioned, my little one is out of preschool for the summer so i have been trying to keep her entertained which i'm not so good at anymore 'cause i'm so damn tired. guilt, guilt, guilt and more guilt.
i know you and i both have difficulty being assertive with our docs, but i think it's high time your neuro orders a c- & t-spine MRI, especially with the added scoliosis dx, not to mention checking your vitamin B12 & D levels. i cannot believe he hasn't ordered any blood work to date! if he tries to talk you out of it, maybe it's time to kick him to the curb??? (i'm just sayin'...)
:-)
take good care, my friend.

hi jibby,
i didn't realize you had an upcoming neuro visit. please do let us know how it goes.
i haven't seen a chiropractor since i have a few disc herniations and have been advised not to let anyone adjust me, but i am glad it seems to be helping with the burning sensation you have between your shoulder blades. i have that, too, but i'm afraid to let anyone work on my back.
like i have said, i have a lot of those bee stings all over my body, too. i can't remember--has your neuro done an MRI of your c-spine or t-spine yet, or just your lumbar?
hope you're having a good day and are able to stay cool!
best wishes,
binx
Hi wonko,
I too have had parethesia in leg and arm..I was rferred to chiro by neuro due to burning in between shoulders..After an xray it showed I have scoliosis of the spine..the adjustments have been somewhat helpful.
It sarted last June with vision issues, cognitive issues and parethesia in arm (left) My doc did MRI which showed lesions in brain..I had another in December but no changes..Doc says it's a wait and see thing. I am originally seeing him for migraines..
The tingling in arm turned into prickling sensation and has been gone but i have suffered with on and off numbness, tingling, bouts of severe fatige that makes me feel like I have been hit by a truck and bee sting sensations which come on quick and
(jerks) makes me jump then goes away....
So, I am waiting to see..nuero said that if my leg issue s continue he will give me something at next appt...I go Aug. 5th...
I have to say this is really exhausting..but we will see
Thanks for sharing ;o)

Hi jibs,
Glad the chiro is at least of some help to you. I've also been going to a chiropractor and now an osteopath, and it has been of high value to my situation.
At the beginning of my illness, the odd sensations I experienced were largely due to parestheisas, so over time I learned to ignore them. But over time, I also developed myofascial pain syndrome, where muscles in my back and neck bunched up terribly, causing a lot of pain and contributing to tingling sensations. Basically, going around as sick and fatigued as I was for as long as I was lead to a lot of slouching and the muscles in my neck and back became weak and easily strained. So while this is all tied into my primary health problem (which in my case is Lyme disease), it needs separate treatment.
I forget the details of your story or how long you have been sick, but I think it is generally true that even if you start out otherwise healthy, prolonged illness tends to cause a host of extra problems. It can be tough to divert focus, esp. if your primary concern is as of yet undiagnosed, but I do believe it is important to look at the big picture and take advantage of integrative practitioners who will treat your whole body.
Or so has been my experience!
Not all chiros are the same, hopefully you like yours but if you're not happy with him, I'd keep looking. I recently moved and really miss my old chiro, his treatments helped me be able to get through much more of the day in far less pain.
Good luck, Aug. 5 will be here before you know it.
