Neuro Appt Yesterday

I had my appt yesterday...all 5 minutes of it.He put me back on Topomax..Said he does not have to order any tests...and asked if I had any sensory issues...aside from my left thumb that goes numb on and off....nothing..follow up in 6 weeks...

hmm.. I don't know anymore. I looked into getting an appointment in Boston at Brigham and Women's but they are not covered by my insurance....I am bummed. I am in no financial situation to pay out of pocket..Need to see if I have an "In-Network" option that may be just as good as Boston docs....It's time...This doc is stuck on migraine and I am still neauseated..I am sorry but can NOT beleive this is ALL migraine.. I need someone to look outside the box and say yes or no... I know it is not that easy but I need someone else to say it.....

I thouht I was headed in the right direction..not so much on a dx. of MS persay but he was testing to rule things out.....I am still neauseated ..and he had no concerns of why other than..oh it must bemigraine..which is fine but he is NOT TALKING about it..I guess I need explanation (I'm a women and need explanation) yah know explain to me why migraine would work this way and neausea can last months even without a constant headache...then i can can understand it....uggghhhh..

well, I am looking into neuros in my area and in my plan but not just any neuro..I wanna look at backgrounds and specialties....My Dad sees a neuro for his anurysm and I am wondering if he may see me...His original brain surgeon/neuro was from Boston and had a practice here but has retired...bummer..the quest is on..

Yeah... I am okay otherwise I guess...I just got a little pi&&y for a moment...I have also heard of a type of migraine that s rare but can send you for a loop....

If you thinkof it..let me know..I'll lurk around.

5 minutes blimey thats ridiculous I usually spend 5 minutes just chatting and shuffling on my chair before I start lol.

Have you sat down and written when things started, how and what? Perhaps you could do that and then post it on the forum and we can all look at it and see outside of the box. Sometimes it needs lots of eyes to note things going on with other people.

There is apparently a rare migraine, I had the link at one point but lost it that can cause sensory and nueropathic problems. I wish i could find it again, it has a special name too, perhaps someone out there knows it. It is rare but it does exist and it would explain your symptoms that is if you had it.

Its so annoying all this, we just want to get well and end up in limbo land for ever. I really am sorry you dont seem to be getting anywhere.

Besides that is everything else going ok?
