Possible STD, not usual symptoms

I know that the main response to these sort of questions is that you should go see a doctor and get tested and etc. I plan on doing so next week. I just wanted to get some opinions also. A few days ago I noticed some red, flat blotches in my pubic area. They do not itch or hurt. Last night I had sexual intercourse and when I woke up this morning there were more red blotches and they appeared to be a brighter red. It doesn't seem to resemble an STD but I'm not positive.

Also, were the blotches there before intercourse?

I think that it is important that we establish whether or not you were using protection.

Did you use some kind of condom or lubricant? Is it possible it's an allergic reaction? Allergies to those sorts of things usually come with swelling, pain, and itching but not all the time. It may be nothing more than a rash so make sure you get it looked at and not just take the blood STD test.
