How do you know when you are "off center", "out of balance" and how do you get back to where you are centered, peaceful, etc.?

I like that idea, Dalubaba.  I was praying this morning and feeling pretty good spiritually about being honest with God with who I am in relation to Him and what I don't know verses what little I know and that I need His help/wisdom/guidance/direction as to what I am to know.........

Being honest about the broad expanse of beliefs "out there" and how endless it seems with trying to learn it all makes me want to just "let go" and "let God".......meaning lean on Him...rest in Him.  I believe He is outside all our attempts to figure things out....so many layers/levels.  I find peace in simplicity of "being in the now moment with whoever I am with and whatever I am doing".  Off center is when I try to do many things beyond my ability to do them or compromise my integrity/character in some way.

Example....as much as I don't want to posture....primping in some way comes into certain situations so that I can be seen in a favorable light.  I am glad to start at the beginning by admitting that and addressing what I am trying to achieve by doing  the posturing....is it worth it in the end?  Would anyone understand what I am saying in the way I say it?  Does it matter they do?  Am I just talking to myself?........

The focus verse today was on Be Still and know that I am God.....Psalm 46:10

Good day for me to see that :-)))  I find myself being honest and saying....Who are you God?

When we feel that everybody is against us, we are out of our element.
When we feel uneasy we are not grounded or centered.
When we are angry without any reason, we are off the center.
When any negative feeling predominates we are off the center.
How to return to our center?
There are techniques which may be physical, mental, spiritual, attitudinal, Philosophical, psychological and emotional.
One has to learn many techniques to take care of various situations. One technique may not be good for everybody, or even the same technique may not work for the same person all the time. One can evolve his own techniques
Subjects like, meditation, yoga, spiritual learning, change of attitude, devotion to divine, chanting, devotional singing, are better techniques to return to our center and remain there for a longer period. .
This exploration is a continual process. If extra efforts are done initially, exploration becomes automatic.
I hope in our spirituality group, we continue our exploration

:-))  Sounds wonderful, Ginger :-))  The beach also is appealing to me, but I don't live by one :-(((  so, I have to share yours & visualize :-))))

I like having "free" time to do what I want (as long as I know it is what I want....lol).  Could be to go out shopping....go to Barnes & Noble & sit in the cafe with books that I carried from shelves to the table to just look and dip into a bit/take notes.

Could be listening to music and dancing/crying/raising hands heavenward....praising God for life/presence.  Mostly it is being honest with Him and having Him straighten me out.  It is the practicing of His presence in whatever I do.  Being in the moment and being aware of things that I wouldn't ordinarily see if I am miles ahead or behind...:-))))

I go to the woods.
No matter what is getting to me, or if I am exhausted, or whatever, if I go to the woods I feel better. If I walk with my dog a good 2 or three hours, smell all the scents, look at things, take in the atmosphere.

The appeal of an empty beach?... it's the absence of people... lol!
It's just that it's far from the maddening crowd. There are no facades; no pretensions; no daily grind distractions... there is only beauty in its simplest forms. I find that simplicity to be pacifying. When I'm there in that vast space, I feel like I'm me... in a way that I can't be anywhere else.

How and where do you find re-alignment?

That is a nice way of what I call re-aligning or re-centering...lol!  Sounds like a good way to do so....what is appealing to you about the empty beach :-)

Is the beach a place for dealing with "internal struggles"?

thank you for sharing :-)

"off center," "out of balance" those are great ways to describe what I call being...
"out of my element." How do I get back in? I go for a long walk, alone... on an empty beach.
