The Mouse That Flew

one day a small mouse had wandered far from his nest searching for food,he saw many things in his journey ...some were scary ,some were funny ...till he came upon a ledge ...he went left ,then right but no end was in sight ...he sat and thought for a moment ....and while he sat a bird landed next to him ...pecked the ground grabbing a worm ...and the bird then leaped off the edge and spread its wings and flew away ...the mouse was amazed ,watching it fly he thought how nice ...
   the next day the mouse returned to the cliff ,and sat and waited ...for the bird to come ....after a while the bird landed and started to peck the ground .....the mouse spoke up and said... must be quite a thing to fly like that ....the bird looked sidelong at the mouse and said ..it is nothing ..and went back to pecking the ground ...the mouse sat a moment and said ....what is it like ...and the bird stopped pecking the ground looking over at the mouse and cocking his head to the side says....it is like a wind storm moving across my feathers ..lifting me to new heights and allowing me to see for miles and miles ...why do you ask ? the mouse replied ...i wish i could fly.....".but you are a mouse" said the bird ...shaking his head ...could you take me? said the mouse ...and the bird stared at him a moment and said where would you go ? .....the mouse sat quiet a moment and said up there nodding his nose up in the air.....the bird looking at the mouse says ...if i do this i cant bring you back ..you will be to heavy for me to fly all the way back up ...the mouse thought for a minute and said ...i will do it ...come here the bird said to the mouse ...the mouse then scampered in front of the bird and the bird grabbed the mouse with a claw and said ...do not move or fuss till i set you down ok? and the mouse said he would stay still ..ready?? the bird said....and leap t off the cliff ...the mouse opened his eyes wide and felt the air as they dove done ,faster,faster....and then the bird flapped its wings,and arced higher and higher ...the mouse saw the ground get smaller and smaller as the bird rose the mouse couldn't believe the site he saw ,the wind was moving his fur like soft brushes of his mothers nose .....on and on they flew ..till at last the bird circled lower and lower and swooped down for a landing ...setting the mouse down the bird looked a the mouse ...was it what you thought it would be ?....the mouse looking around ..stopped and looking at the bird replied .....oh yes it was wonderful ...and the bird nodded and said well off i must to find food ..with a backwards look at the mouse he says ...maybe i will see you around someday ?...and the mouse smiled and said..... i thank you and i owe you ....and turned and moved off into the pile of logs that lay on the ground ...the bird hopped and flapped his wings soaring higher and higher away ......the mouse watched him go and turned to his new world and started to explore ......

actually yes i have a pretty good talent for art as well lol my wife was better and my kids all win state comps for there art to one even went to win out of thirteen states for her grade

well there you are you can write children's stories aswell, you could draw the Characters of the bird and the mouse, can you draw...very nice ..I am glad it was a happy ending ..
