Okay, now you are cracking me up!! It is interesting all of the cold weather and snow we've had this year in light of global warming warnings . . . hm. Where did I read that a couple of decades ago they were warning of global cooling. And yes, I think that the country is standing up right now and saying they are not happy with the direction we were heading in the past year. Honestly, I didn't expect it to happen this fast.

Well that State of the Union was another croc as usual nothing but twaddle ...freeze the spending ha ha does he mean his own and Mrs Obama's ,why didnt he acknowledge the 2 Police Officers who sat by Mrs OBama..... most of our leaders thank our heroes at the State of the Union , they brought down the Islam Terrorist Hassan , surely the US was grateful I noted Mrs OBanma got a rousing accolade when she said she was going to work for obese children........

You are right Twe ...I have never understood why on earth you wouldnt want to learn the language of the country you are living in , and hey I think when the folks are given amnesty it is written in that they should learn the Language of our country and take a test to show that they can ...
Margy, schools are discouraged from telling the truth these days (history) in the name of "tolerance." I say HOGWASH! If you live in this country, learn "your" new history. Do NOT forget your own - it is your heritage and you should be proud. At the same time, we cannot change OURS out of concern for offending you...
Let me put it like this: When I married my husband, I became part of his family. I did not leave my family. My history there did not get erased. BUT, I found myself WANTING to know my "new" family's stories. I relished them. These were going to be my children's stories...so why wouldn't I want to know them?
It is the same if/when a person comes HERE to live permanently and become a citizen. Regardless of citizenship, actually, if they are going to be in our schools, we should UNAPOLOGETICALLY be teaching them OUR history. Period. Margy, YOU know our history and are PROUD of it...it seems to me, anyway.
I lived in FL for 39 years and got SO tired of seeing foreign flags flying from rear-view mirrors and utter hatred and disdain for America from the occupants of those cars. They couldn't even bother to learn English. It's hard to explain the difference between still being proud of your heritage and holding in disdain the country you are residing in at present. You'd have to have been there.
So much double-standard in the United States of America.

You know RJ thats right, I am going to get a story going about the founding fathers and their plan for this country ...I am not convinced that the schools are telling much American History now ....certainly not the true history ..Hang onto your hats and I will right it here when I make sure my facts are correct...
This shows the strength and power of the people and how they come together as one that unites for what the Nation stands for. Parties made no difference to the "people", it was purpose. Freedom is not taken lightly. People do take the time to find out what Washington is doing. They did not like being shut out, both publically, and by shutting out representatives that speak for them. They expected the newly elected president to stand up to his word that put him where he is. They will fight government that tries to take their Rights. They will fight being taxed to the extent of leaving pennies for a paycheck. The strength remains in the hands of the people. This may be a time that will go down in History. One thing for sure, Washington knows, no matter how they try to hide crooked deals, it will backfire on those that take part in it.
This is a story in itself about the American people taking back their country, unless they ram it through we may even get a healthcare plan that we all need ,this one should be scrapped and all should start again , not in closed doors out in the open for all of us to see, no bribes no special interests to 'friends' ...The pendelum has started to swing back and outr cocnstitution will be up held .some of this bill that they are desperatly trying to ram home is unconstiturtional and I hear Florida is taking it to court as unconstitutional ...This is a real stroy unfolding its the story of a powerful Nation ..a nation that is exceptional ....
