Need some insight on helping my father after stroke.

My father is 82 years old. It's been almost a year since his stroke. July 27 will be exactly a year. Lost his speech, use of right arm, had a feeding tube, catheter, and Gall bladder bag for infection. He now has incontinence.

He has been in 3 nursing homes so far. Been in and out of the hospital 5 different times. And just today had a seizure.

He cries a lot and Refuses to do any therapy.(Which frustrates the crap out of me.)

Has anyone out there experienced some similar situations?  Have any suggestions for me to keep him motivated to get back some quality of life?

Please any help or suggestions would help.
