Hello,
Would you like to take part in a Quality of Life research study?
Are you male or female, aged 18 to 80? Have you experienced a Stroke? You are being invited to take part in a research study.
I am a third year BSc(Hons) Psychology student at University of East London and my thesis project concerns the Quality of Life after a Stroke. This study will use the survey approach. It will utilize questionnaires in the research process. If you decide to take part, I will ask you to fill out three on-line questionnaires related to your health, attitudes and thoughts. The study will require approximately 40 minutes of your time.
This study aims to estimate the contributions of not only the neurological deficits after Stroke, but emotional disturbances, cognitive difficulties and behavioural limitations in social functioning. Recognition of the long-term psycho-social consequences of a Stroke is crucial in establishing better quality and more effective care program as well as to improve patients life satisfaction.
Following ethical guidelines from The British Psychological Society all information will be kept confidential and anonymous, you have the right to not answer specific questions and research participants will have the right to withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason.
