I hope the surgery went well
Ovarian cyst surgery is commonly performed surgery with little risk of major complications
It is always performed under general anesthesia

Thank you sir for responding to my post. Surgery went well thanks! It was actually a hydrosalpinx that the Dr. found. It was huge, looked bigger than my uterus from the pictures they gave me. Fortunately I didn't lose an ovary but of course the tube is gone. Now I'm just waiting on the path. report. Thanks for your time.

I had an ovarian cyst removed 12 months ago at the age of 18.  If I had noticed your post earlier I would have shared my story with you and told you how well my surgery went but it seems you have already had your operation.  If you have any questions about anything post surgery feel free to ask.

Im glad it went well

Dear Elliot
I just came across your post now (which is very late) and i am sure you must have recovered now and joined your job/ school/ daily routine. It was very fortunate that it turned out to be just a hydrosalpinx becuase ovarian cyst can be cencerous but hydrosalpinx is usually benign. Dont worry about losing one tube, pregnancy rate is quite good even with one "PATENT TUBE". Retained ovary with tube removed will not help as much in ovum contribution but surely it means hormonal functions will remian normal.
Best wishes
